What is bothering you?

What it usually means
Surface staining from coffee, tea, curry and smoking sits on the enamel and comes off with scaling and polishing. A yellow tone that goes deeper is usually the dentine underneath showing through as enamel thins with age, and that is what whitening changes.
What we would usually do
Scaling and polishing first, then professional whitening once the surface is clean and the gums are healthy.

- One or two visits over about two weeks.

- ICON resin infiltration for white patches left by braces or fluorosis
- Composite bonding or veneers where the discolouration is inside the tooth
- Replacing older fillings or crowns that no longer match the new shade
